... and relax

Today was the last part of my OU course - an exam. This isn't itself scary - after all I have crammed extensively and don't even suffer from flashbacks at going back to the-place-where-I-had-my-finals - but by golly my hand hurts after three hours of writing with a pen. Actually, I'm not sure writing is a correct term for the barely legible scrawl ( Read more... )

That sounds ok - I have a little shower cap for the camera. I'll make some notes at Whitby if you promise to come and say hello (I'll be at the front for all the bands no doubt :-)).

Oh dear. I must have been drunk when I proof read that.

I figured you knew my surname to be Hardacre, but evidently not :)

Nope - I had no idea. If anything I thought it was "Lurve". Do you want me to ask them to change it?

If they will :) My real name is Luuurve, as you say, but I prefer a nom de plume under which to hide my light.

I notice they've crunched an ellipse into a full stop, meaning there's no capitalisation on the 'w' in "And onto the main event. with a menacing, brooding build up which" in the fourth paragraph.

Also, I'm going doolally in my old age - first paragraph suggests they're rubbish every time I see them! "the Reverends Larry & D-Wayne Love and their eclectic collection of cowboys, outlaws and bards have never failed to disappoint." should of course end in "have never failed toimpress."

I'll go bang my head off the keyboard.

I've emailled you the BBC guy's address if you want to send him corrections. The A3 press chappie was very happy - so you shouldn't worry too much.

My wrist hurt more and more each exam at uni. I eventually persuaded them to count me as properly afflicted and do an exam by computer. It was rather odd, just me and an invigilator and a computer in a room. But it was a much better way to write an exam. Pens are so ... anachronistic.

What a fantastic idea! With enough practice I could get registered disabled.

Actually my right wrist has never been terribly strong partly due to a Catholic upbringing and partly because I broke it twice when I was younger through daring exploits with trees and skateboards.

I knackered my wrist revising and taking my - this is SO wrong - health and safety exams! I actually had my arm strapped up up to the elbow on exam day whilst writing about Work Related Upper Limb Disorders!
