Can I have tomorrow off?

This weekend was a busy one, as they all are lately.
Friday, I worked a little late and stopped off at The Home Depot to get some wood.
Saturday I got up in the morning and made a pumpkin roll for hubby while two customers waited for me to come fix their furnaces.
I had to unload my wood before I could go to work.

As dirty as this might sound you look good with your tools!

So does the porch!

That's actually Jonathan in those pictures. He's doing the measuring and shouting orders. I do the "power tools."

The stairs came out great...nicely done...and like the way you finished off the railing. I like to make my top rail 2x6

The post next to the house...for such a short run of stairs...I would put just one bannister..the one on the left as you face the deck..and eliminate the post attachd to the house...just my own tastes creeping in.

Nice job

You apparently have good tool and you know how to unload your wood

I would probably agree with you about only one post, but my "designer" kind of pushed for this. I will probably only put the banister on the left side anyway.

For the railing design we copied the porch on the other side of the house that the nice Amish folks built for me in June. (It was two stories and supporting the corner of the roof. I didn't dare tackle it myself)

Ohhh, yes.

I headed home and collected... my power tools

So you could get more wood.

Did I mention that I LOVE power tools?

Wood. Much wood.

And, who the heck put that dent in the bottom panel of the storm door? And spray-painted it such that the paint bled into the panes of glass and onto the screens?

That whole door arrangement is pretty crappy. That dent has been there for quite some time. I want to rework that whole door experience, maybe next year.
