Adoptive Family Claims Restaurant Worker Harassed Them

My coworker is friends with this family and her daughter is currently staying with them for the summer. It is unbelievable that people think this way in 2007! It is the south and all, BUT REALLY.

So what is the next step now? Are you now allowed to foster kids or is there more learning to be done?

Amber and I both had to fill out a 12 page home study questionnaire about how we were raised, our family's values, our thought on discipline, early sexual experiences,...and are getting 'interviewed on them tomorrow night. Then there is a whole other questionnaire that we fill out with the head of the foster care agency present and then she 'interviews' us on those separately (to screen out spousal abuse). we each need 3 references, a background check, Department of youth children and families clearance, fingerprints, health screning.....

Wow! that is awesome that you both want to be foster parents. That is something that I do not think I could have ever done. Kudos! Have fun on your vacation!

That sounds awesome! I wish they did all of that before they let anyone be parents. I just heard a story about a 2 year old that woke up and somehow got out of his house and was picked up by the police at 6am. A lady called the police when she say the toddler walking along side the road in just his diapers. The police held the child until his parents called and said their son was missing. That was at 11am! Shit!
