When I separated from my now-ex-wife in 2007, I agreed to five years of monthly support payments. I've mentioned them here before. I never once begrudged them, because when I left I took 3/5 of the household income with me and the only thing she got ever really feared was financial insecurity.

I pretty much never login to LJ anymore, yet here I am, and am now reading this. I don't know the details, but I wish you all the best, you've always been a cool guy the few times I saw you, and I'm sure this is not easy on you or her. I wish I got to see you guys more often, but with family stuff, it's just not easy to travel. We didn't even have a reliable babysitter til this summer. But I digress.
