Zoro is Erza. ;p Well, no, not really, although I've seen plenty of (male?) fans shipping them. Anyway, just because Natsu and Luffy have similarities in common I don't think the characters in general have clear equivalents to one another. Don't think there's anyone like Gray in One Piece, for instance, at least in the regular cast.
I like One Piece a lot more, but Fairy Tail is enjoyable enough. Although Del Rey's manga translation annoys me with its ugly lettering and general "let's keep everything as Japanese as possibly even though the setting is a made-up fantasy European-ish world" attitude...
Oh. Zoro's a girl. *lol* No wonder, I didn't recognize him. Ah, why not, it would be an interesting female character, after all. ^.^
There was a secret about similarity of OP/FT and I got curious. I don't know the story yet, just saw piccies. Some characters look a lot like One Piece charas, but I don't mind either way, if the story's good, too. Unless it is mostly used to promote a trading card game, I guess. ^^
But enjoyable sounds promising. I'll see. ^^
Hm. I wonder what Carlsen will make of it. The German edition will be out in April, and they've done well with most series, when they do not start to translate stuff *too* much.
Zoro is TOTALLY Ezra. Gerard is some sort of f'ed up version of Kuina...tragic childhood friendship/past go!
Nami is Lucy and Sanji is totally Loki though...
Gray is totally my favorite character (well and Jubia and Loki are up there too)...yeah there really isn't a One Piece equivalent. I love him so I automatically want to make him Sanji...but no...
From his looks, I'd say Loki is Sanji, too. Not that there needs to be a One Piece equivalent, but I looked at that group shot, and it kind of forces itself onto me that there could be.
Is the guy a fan or an ex-coworker, or is it just copy-catting that the style is so close?
Maybe baby arrives in April only, now that the date has been postponed - then I could try and read manga 01 comfortable in hospital... if I find the time, yeah, right. *lol*
