As a former starry-eyed techno-utopian and also a (mostly) former peak oil doomer, I can switch hit when it comes to participating in conversations about both rapid advances in artificial intelligence and the industrial civilization's crucial dependence on fossil fuels. There are others with a foot in both camps, but not many.

What you describe of your knowledge and predilection is exactly why the C-Realm content has been compelling for a DECADE!

Your opinions, interests, and conversations are not 'fixed', like so many others. You have talked about your subjective migrations frequently throughout the podcast, and I think that is very healthy for the C-Realm. I am not too surprised that you have landed squarely between the two camps: Techno-Optimists and Doomers. Both need to take a more nuanced view of their fiefdoms.

Is there a significance to "500 words"? I have been away for a while... IDK

I'm trying to train myself to write in shorter blocks for the purposes of scripting shorter videos.

I've been aiming for 500 words, but this is the first entry to actually achieve it.
