So we declared Movie Season 2010 officially open with a viewing of Clash of the Titans.

I absolutely agree with your assessment of Clash. It was a fun bit of brain candy and while I'm not *sorry* I saw it, it is probably best viewed on DVD. It's a fun bit of brain candy and little more.

I saw the original Clash back in the day. Had to go out of DE to center city Philly to see it, and I never regretted the trip.

As soon as I heard about the remake, I was fairly sure that I wouldn't bother going to see that even if it shows at the local movie house.
