I'm tempted to call Ted McIlvenna, president of the Institute for the Advancement of Human Sexology (aka Porn University) and see if they've got a term for it.
I know this is a thing. It's similar to how when people exercise, their bodies are more willing, and capable of becoming aroused. It's not that exercise arouses people, it just makes the body more willing to become so.

Not sure if it's universal, but the endorphin response does tend to set the stage, as it were.
I think it's also potentially linked to a person's vocation or occupation. I've discovered something similar at culinary school/in the restaurant industry. A successful service, a great meal, etc, can prompt what we call 'Food boner', and brings forth that sense of deep-seated satisfaction. It's all in the passion you have for what you're doing.
