Waaah! I have not updated in forever! I am bad, so bad!

Anyways, my birthday is on Friday, and I will be spending it at connexions, where I will be rooming together with grey_bard, kadorienne and rainbowchicken! I am so excited! It's gotten to the point where I can't imagine my life without "Hornblower" or "Master and Commander." The HORROR!

Heh. It will be something like a thirtieth or so fandom for me. My brain is gonna blow up... Still, I will probably drown in my own drool anyway, because I like sea stories and teh pretty boys. I actually came upon HH when I was researching for an original slash story of mine that happens on the seas. (I've actually become my own fangirl now. It's so sad...)

But damn, why is it that I never find out about connexions until it's too late to go? Maybe next year...

One small quibble, though -- there really is no such thing as "original slash." You can write original erotica or flat out gay porn, but slash is a term that was invented with reference to fandoms and not original stories. I also cringe when I hear people saying that they're writing "original fanfiction." Okay, so maybe it's not a small quibble *vbg* after all...I'll just go off and leave you alone to daydream about your upcoming weekend *vbeg*!

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Unfortunately, ConneXions is going on hiatus after this year at least until 2007. Still, there will be memberships available at the door this year if you're interested.

About "original slash" - I'm a slasher, and my other half (heh) is an original almost-erotica writer, so the category our writing is in is made up by me for fun. I've also become my own fangirl, too...
