All cold medicine sucks. Why can't they come out with one that tastes good? There's one medicine I do like, but I can't remember the name of it and I only take it when I'm really sick.

I wasn't allowed to take NyQuil this morning because of school, so my mom gave me some Alka-Seltzer. I hate it, but had to drink it. It wasn't filled the whole way, ( Read more... )

I remember being a major fan of the orange Triaminic.

I mostly just take pills now. And I use it as an excuse to eat the Airborne gummis.

I have this thing about pills. I'm terrified to swallow them, which is why I take liquids. I just wish the liquids didn't make me want to gag or throw up.

That sucks. It took me a looong time to become ok with swallowing pills so I definitely know and agree that most medicines taste mad disgusting.

Ugh I hate the taste of just about any liquid medicine.

Do you have any DayQuil? Won't make you sleepy.

I refuse to take DayQuil. It's even worse than NyQuil.

Yeah, liquid medicine tastes are all gross.

I always thought Alka-Seltzer was for heartburn?

I'm telling you: MOTRIN. They make the kid's Motin in a liquid (I don't think they make the adult strength in a liquid) but even at junior strength, it WORKS. Well. Only if you have fever/pain along with cold symptoms. It's not really cold medicine. And it does nothing for nausea, as I've discovered today. Benadryl kicks ass with cold symptoms (it's allergy medicine), but it makes you sleepy as hell.

I use kid's Motrin for cramps, but I never thought of using it for cold medicine. I even have some in the cabinet.

And nope, Alka-Seltzer is not for heartburn.

Can't take pills? I had this thing where I couldn't swallow pills until I was 18, now I pop them like crazy when I get sick.
I use to put the pill on the back of my tongue and drink like shittons of water, and it wouldn't go down, or if it did... i'd gag it back up. it was hella weird. Now I can do it. Dunno why.
