NaNoWriMo Lulu book

This morning I got the freebie Lulu paperback of my NaNoWriMo book (Lulu ran an offer giving anyone who'd completed NaNoWriMo 2006 a free copy of their book). It's pretty good quality, although I've slightly underdone the inside margins - my fault, not theirs, and it's still perfectly readable.

3rd book down is the Lord of the Rings, in a crappy 1-volume edition missing most of the appendices. Do I get a prize? ;-)

But gosh, shiny!

No prize, except my acknowledgement that you have a good eye - is it yours, then? Or David's?

Not mine, but a very similar copy was the bane of my teenage years. I haven't seen this instance of it except in your photo....

Yep, I'd recognised the Lord Of The Rings, before reading the comments. Looks like the hardback version of the one I read until it fell to pieces. No idea about the second book.

I didn't really expect anyone to guess either of the books, I'm amazed that two people got it (although I think Ceb had a bit of an advantage...)

Book 2 is: Impeach Bush, a graphic novel by Bob Scott (of Eagle-DNA fame) and illustrated by Mike Leffel (of Owlie and Fat Jesus fame).

Oh yeah, I should have thought that you'd get 2. I guess since the two authors are also on my friends list they might also have an advantage in identifying it.
