I figured it out

A couple of storms ago, the other half of the enormous oak tree that decimated our neighbors' power lines came down.  This half fell on OUR property - and made a right mess back there, too.  The split is about thirteen feet up, and the crown is wedged into other trees up there.  We won't be able to drop it - it's too dangerous.  So we're going to ( Read more... )

shoulder, weather

Does it hurt when you do that?

THEN DON'T DO IT!

*Grin*

Really that does make sense both in terms of the position of the shoulder and the repetitive motion you were doing. At least you now know and the surgery will clear it up.

*smirk* Yeah, for some reason I didn't get done what I'd intended to back there. I shifted mechanics to do a little, but I expect doing a lot wouldn't be a good idea. If I wade back there again, I'll take a saw instead.

As soon as it twinged, it made perfect sense. It's nice to know how it happened - both because I'm tired of people asking "how did you do it?" and not having an answer, and because I also don't have to worry about repeating the problem in the future. Those were fairly unique circumstances.

Is said problem tree someplace which if it finished coming down it would take out something important of yours? Like parts of the house or cars?

Well, the fact that it took me two weeks to realize the crown came down is indicative of quite a bit...

The only risk is to other trees, a grove of mountain laurels, and anyone who walks under it. That's the wildest area of our property.

I want it down for safety reasons, but I don't think there's a rush. I'll have Ben come drop it, and we'll burn it in recompense.

As long as it isn't the equivalent of our neighbor's willow. It's nice to know that it isn't a rush job.

I have a bit of a thing about iffy trees these days.

Though the insurance money got us a better car than the one that got squished.

Well, at least you know. If only knowing made it all go away magically.

But seriously, what I want to know is, did you go see the kitty?
