Nice work! Do you have any pictures of the wedges and how they fit into the tenon ends? Which is to say, are they wedge-shaped, or are they more like rectangular solids?

They are indeed wedge-shaped. Beech into pine. Don't have any pix. The thing that matters is that I put it perpendicular to the grain and lamination direction. You know, to prevent cracking.

Yep. Nice work! I've seen designs that did blunt-end wedges to try to prevent a crack propagating, which is why I asked.
Man I have had no luck with wedges in hammer handles, but they seem to do well in most other places.
