Soundtrack & Thanks!
1) The House Rules by Christian Kane - This is actually the second song that inspired this. I had the general idea already, but this kinda helped pull it together and finalize what role each character was to play.
2) Blue Jeans and a Rosary by Kid Rock - This is the song that started it all off!! I heard this and thought... DUDE! That would be a great fic! Originally this was a J2 story, but then I heard House Rules and the characters started changing on me. So, after writing about 15,000 words of J2 I had to start over and change it to the fic it is today. I love this song. It's one of my favorites of his.
3) Let Me Go by Christian Kane - This is my absolute favorite song on his EP, and I think it describes my version of Christian in this story so well. He wants love so fuckin' bad, but he's scared shitless to reach out and grab it.
4) Not Enough by Our Lady Peace - To be honest, I don't remember the last time I wrote a story of any length that this song wasn't on the playing list. However, in this case, this song heavily influenced who Jared ended up being.
5) Sacrifice by Theory of a Deadman - It's the first verse that really got this song included, because again, it so perfectly represents Jared that I had to include it.

6) Pinata Novia by Steve Carlson - As much as I use Not Enough for inspiration, I use Steve more. Of all his love songs, I thought this best spoke for who the character of him is in this story. It's so filled with love and hope and forever that you can't help but believe.
7) Rescue by Uncle Kracker - This is a great song that works for all three boys - Jay, Chris, & Steve. Each one looking for the others to rescue him and support him somehow, which is what really makes their relationship work. It's all pretty much equal.
8) I Can Only Love You Like a Man by Trace Adkins - Another love song I just adore. This works more for Chris to Steve though, I think. Either way Trace has an amazing deep voice that definately inspired a couple of the sex scenes.
9) And So It Goes by Billy Joel - I have loved this song for a long time. I think it works perfectly for where Jared's head is at in Chapter Three and how badly he belives he's not very good for Steve, but how despreately he needs him in his life.
10) Rattlesnake Smile by Kane - This is definately a Chris song through and through. It really shows where Chris' head is at when we first meet him in this.
11) Better Than Me by Hinder - This could work for either Chris to Steve or Jared to Steve really, but it was included initially with Chris & Steve's relationship in mind. Chris knows in his heart he's not good for Steve with the way he treats him, and would like to do the nobel thing, but Steve just refuses to go away forever.
12) Where I'm Goin by Steve Carlson - I'll be honest. This was included really just because it's one of my favorites from the new album, and it just happens to fit with the story... sorta. LOL
13) Closer by Nine Inch Nails - The story has sex... how do you NOT include Closer?? *nods* 'Nuff said.
14) Not Every Man Lives by Jason Aldean - This is another Jay song. Kinda fits his outlook on life.
15) Making Circles by Christian Kane - Seriously... this song is SO Chris & Steve in this story it's almost like it was written for it. LOVE this song.
16) Outside Looking In by Steve Carlson - Another of my favorites from the new album. It definately fits my Jared in this story though, I think.

Thanks to the persistance of audeamus22 there will definitely be a sequel, because she has already given me a list of demands for timestamps. The sequel is already taking shape in my head, and idealy I'd like to post around the end of the year, but we'll see. I already have an idea for next year's Big Bang so we'll see what happens. LOL
