Last night, Valerie came home with purple hair. We’d discussed it, and since I think she looks great no matter what, and it was something she wanted to do, we made it happen.

We did not discuss it with the dogs though.

Gej seems somewhat troubled.

While I was away in New Mexico, Valerie took the Barking Prince to the groomer.

He does not look happy with the result. I'm not either, but I don't get home for a week. Maybe it will grow out some by the time I return.

I've just returned home from the veterinarian's office where Gej had his post-operative check-up. It's been twelve days since his surgery, and he's completely fine (albeit, lacking in testicles). On my way out of the house this morning, Gej raced by on his way out into the backyard. He had a ten dollar bill in his mouth.

WTF?

Friday's visit for an ultrasound revealed that the "mass" on Lucie's adrenal gland has not grown. It hasn't gone away, but the lack of any increase in size means it is not a tumor. Time to take Gej to the Vet. He's 17 weeks old now, and can receive his final booster shot.

Once that's done, he's allowed out in public with other dogs!

This means walks in the neighborhood, and also some much needed obedience training.

It's been a damp and dreary day in the greater Philadelphia area today, and so this afternoon while valverdi was out, I shoveled the ashes out of the fireplace and built a new fire. It was blazing merrily by the time she arrived home, and we are now sitting in the great room enjoying the warmth and the smell and the crackling pop. The dogs like it too. ( Read more... )
