"And now, if you'll excuse me, there's going to be some blood, as I'm about to bite off my tongue. Of course, I'm just saying that because I'm much too big a coward to actually do it... That bloody buggery serum!"
Sirius struggling with veritaserum is absolutely delightful!
Wasn't that in the version you got? I'm only glad, though, that you liked it:)
And I'm surprised you still have the energy even to glance at this after already going through it a couple of times too many...;) But I hope I've made all the additions you suggested - more of which should come in later chapters.
The story is definitely still interesting! There were some enticing hints about what's going on; I'm suitably anxious to read more :). But about Day Three: I'm becoming rather fond of the annoying Gengulphus. I liked your characterization of Sirius, and I particularly enjoyed the post-storm banter and the Veritaserum conversation. It was rather foolish of Sirius, to think he could look a Legilimens in the eye and lie (but characteristically cocky!). And "Now, to whom did you send that owl?" Snape asked quite casually as he applied the ointment on Sirius' scratched elbow. "Dumbledore," Sirius answered without hesitation. "Bloody hell!" was a lovely exchange with which to begin the Veritaserum scene.
Thnak you! I'm just working on Day Four, which I was supposed to finish yesterday but then that flame thing happened and my mood for writing dropped accordingly.
So glad you like Gengulphus! I sort of fell in love with that opinionated old git myself;) Funny you should mention Legilimens, though, because in an ealier draft, Snape actually did get the info out of Sirius using Legilimens, but then I thought the Veritaserum might be more fun:)
This is such a great story. The tension, the emotions - your style is perfect. I love it very much, although Snape/Black is not my favourite pairing. But this story is really fantastic!

And I like what you've done to it so far very well - now I'm waiting for the next day...
