Ok, first: I was going to make this post hours ago, but then things happened at Sigil (yes, we're still playing that XD) and killed me dead. THINGS ARE HAPPENING. It's so tense and heartbreaking I don't even. ;___

Actually, it's really comforting to hear anybody feels bad for Mello after he's proven to be essentially ultra-fail at problem-solving. *loves you both*

I know. But that raises a lot of problems. First, I don't really want him to have a full victory over Near because I love Near too fucking much. And then, I really don't know if I have the brainpower to think of all the twists and turns someone like Mello would think of.

Third, I haven't even decided from what point he is yet. XD

And of course, the main storyline would be about your Near getting his new home, but I have to take all that other stuff into account god.

Plus, even though Near told Mello a lot of stuff, he didn't exactly tell him everything. If he felt like it, he might just fuck Mello over. |D;

OH, HE IS PLANNING TO SCREW WITH HIM? IN THAT CASE ALL IS WELL. 8D They may carry on their powerplay then. I also like the idea of Near not having told Mello everything.

I was thinking maybe the time where Mello already has the Death Note, going by his attitude. This would also mean an actual Death Note is in play, which makes things interesting.

I think Mello would stick to his plans, but trying to change the points that made it fail. Dunno, I feel Mello is too stubornly proud to accept he was totally wrong but of course there's no point in following a plan you know will lead you to get yourself blown up XD

Actually, that is pretty plausible. :D Especially since Mello's original plan was pretty good despite some flaws. On the other hand, I don't think he could resist using his new information and flaunt it in other people's faces, screwing with them. But now that he can anticipate what the other parties will do, he *might* actually stick to it. Thanks, Silvia.

That nmade me thought. Mello may be a bit less paranoid and, you know, control-freak than we fans tend to think of him, since his main mistakes were, IMO, trusting a *coughcough* not very smart shinigami, and trusting that Takada wanted to keep her undies because of modesty reasons.

If he knows everything, perhaps he'd stick to the part of his plan that works? So it'd be... Kidnap Sayu, get the Death Note... prepare a trap for the Japanese police, save his mafia group and the Death Note, move on to new fields he doesn't know and that are unpredictable again.

Wehn my mafia!Mello found out about his future at Ads, he was completely distressed because he knew that he wasn't going to remember anything, and that his death was irreversible. Yours is luckier!

The thing is that I keep thinking that the situation will improve, but whenever I try to analyze how it can improve, I'm unable to find a solution (^o^;

Oh man, I feel so bad for your Ads!Mello. D: Knowing what'll happen without a chance to change it must be a really special kind of hell. *hugs him*

I was surprised that most people now said that Mello would stick to his plan with a few improvements! XD In my mind, I saw him come up with something even more elaborate that would cause the world to explode, but - well, I wouldn't have been able to do it anyway. But he still must be careful, because he knows that his death is crucial in bringing Kira down, so every change he makes might change the outcome.

I know. D: It's a nightmare. Mello is realizing very clearly how desperately he is in love with Near, but he's also completely blindsided now.
