Tdira goes home

So I have been thinking about it and I think I am going to stop playing 7V. Its mostly a matter of money. I am very excited to play Mirror Mirror and I just can't afford three games, especially with my sailing trip coming up next month. Unfortunately, I have been having a hard time really getting into 7V. Having so many of my good friends as the ( Read more... )

That's a sucky decision to have to make.

Oh, I see you've said that already >.<

In any case, I'm glad to hear you'll be PCing Mirror Mirror. I was starting to think that I was going to be the game's only PC...

I would be sad not to get to PC/hang out with you in 7V, but if you really want to play Mirror Mirror....well, I definitely won't be playing Mirror Mirror because I know that PCing more than two games at once is too much for me and makes me not enjoy any of them. It's a shame they all seem to be starting at the same time.

I do think it wouldn't be impossible to come back and do more 7V if you want, even if you miss a session or two, but I know that just makes it harder to feel involved with a game, and easier to let it go.

Oh boy, this is rough advice to give. As a plot person, if I say give it a couple more events before deciding, you will likely think that I'm trying to tell you that there is stuff coming your way. There may or may not be and I can neither confirm nor deny it.

If something does come your way to get you more involved plot-wise, it may seem we did it to make you stay.

And if you stay and nothing comes your way, you will be a little bitter that you stayed when you felt maybe you shouldn't have.

So the best I can do is say good luck with whatever decision you make and know that I will back it whatever it is, even though I will miss you terribly if you do decide to leave.

On the other hand, if you do decide to drop out as a PC, you can always come over to the other side. We'll happily have you with us as an NPC, though that means you can't go back to the PC side again. PCing two other games, you will certainly need the extra CP. :-)

I certainly wouldn't expect plot thrown my way just because I expressed to friends that I was having a hard time getting into the game, and I wouldn't think that any plot that comes way was a result of that. You are guys are way too good of gamers for that. The thing is, I do have some plot stuff I'm interested in, which is making leaving really hard. If it wasn't for the money, this wouldn't be an issue at all. However, I don't think I can afford three games plus go on my vacation in 5 weeks. It just sucky timing, but its really frustrating. I might still play, I will just have to be extra careful with spending money in other parts of my like. Like, no eating out for the rest of the year, kind of thing.

I hear you on the money front. We hit some rather high unexpected expenditures in the past few months and have made some temporary life style adjustments to help overcome them. We have cut way back on eating out. I've taken to making my coffee at home in the morning and bringing it with me instead of stopping at Dunkin' Donuts every day. I cut out Netflix. Stuff like that. You make the changes you have to.

And I never meant to imply that you would think anything but the best of thoughts about your friends on plot. We're way too professional (whatever the heck that means) to play favoritism and run special stuff for people just because they're our friends.

On the other hand, we don't *NOT* write special stuff for people just because they're our friends. All PCs are treated equally in our eyes. Some are just more equal than others. ;-)
