My Year in Fic 2012

I do like how this forces me to examine the results I made in the previous year. Often I surprise myself.

Stories I finished:

"Words of Parting" - 4966 words, the only original story I finished all year. I submitted it to the Triangulation contest, but it wasn't selected for publication.

I need to do one of these for this year. Last year's gave me the splash of water in the face to leave my old job when I saw how much writer-energy it was sucking from me.

Mostly, I need the goals section. I'm such a drifter. I'm *this close* to having something and I'm just...stuck in Directionless City, moaning about how I'm stuck in Directionless City.

You, on the other hand, have good stats and great goals! I'm proud of you. Are you of yourself?

I'm proud of bits and pieces, like each project has a ying-yang. "Words of Parting" I'm proud I submitted it since submission is a freeze point of mine, but I'm disappointed that I've done nothing with the feedback I got from that submission.

Goal list are great things. I'm still trying to find a version that works without overloading myself. Like my list for this weekend. Finished half of it and still have to shut up the voice in my head berating me that everything's not done.
