Eeeee! I'm that way too. x_X I make my parent's take care of them when they show up. XP Did ya know that things like 409 kill 'em too?

Yikes! I had the same ant problem when I first moved into my apartment. I bought some of those little ant hotel things--I don't remember what they're called, but they're little things that come in a box and you set them out. One kind, I think it's the Raid kind, is sort of clear and you can see the ants going into the thing to get the poison food and then they take it back and share it with the colony and any ants that eat it die. And they FLOCK to those little baits, they work really well (at least they did for me). They might be worth a try :)

ewww i remeber when i had the aunt infestation in the computer room (carpenter ants, they eat wood x.x)
They don't like orange Oil. Apparently they hate the smell or whatever...and if they get in oil, it'll suffocate them. X3
ew...ants x.x;

In college I had a lot of sugar ants nest themselves in my microwave. MY MICROWAVE! I cleaned it to the point I can see myself on every internal surface, but they kept coming back.

After a while I started using the vaccuum to suck them up before I used the nuker. About a week later they suddenly dissappeared. Like *POOF*, gone!

...that every time it rain for three days or more in San Francisco, it would flood the neighbourhood ant nests and the little buggers would come swarming thru the plumbing.

the first time this happened and i walked into the kitchen that morning, i thought that little elves had decided to redecorate the sink and cupboards with a decidely goth theme.
that's not black paint, a little voice in my head said slowly. paint usually doesn't swarm.

ug.

eeeek.... >_<

It has been raining here, but it hasn't the last week or so... Hmm.

I didn't see a single ant before I started using this new (strongly scented) bubble bath (that's supposed to clear your sinuses if you have a cold). My brother thinks that that might have been what attracted them.
