The kkm holiday exchange rules: The shiny new 2009 edition!
The sign ups for the 2009 Holiday exchange is fast approaching! Returning participants and newcomers alike, please review the rules below. The sign up post will be coming on the 15th of August.
The rules have been changed since last year. Yes, they are long. Yes, it is necessary. Please make sure to read them very carefully. There will be a quiz! *g*
KKM Holiday Exchange Rules
Submitting a Piece
Each participant is required to submit either a fanfiction or fanart piece, and will receive a return gift according to their request.
The Sign Ups open on August 15 and run until August 31, 11:59pm EST. All the assignments are then privately sent out to each of the participants over the following days.
The deadline for submissions for this exchange is November 1. A one week extension will be granted for anyone who asks. After the one week has passed, any participants who have not submitted will be banned from the exchange and replacement authors/artists will be asked to fulfill the unanswered request. Replacement authors/artists will have until December 1 to complete the prompt.

2A. The fanfiction submissions must be at least 900 words in length and no more than 5,500 words. They all must be proofread or beta read. If you wish to include HTML coding in your fic (e.g. italics, bolds etc) please provide the completed codes yourself.
2B. The artworks must be a completed piece, i.e no sketches, and not on lined paper. The artworks must be submitted with a working link, as well as an email attachment, to avoid hosting problems. I ask that artists not to watermark their pieces until the master list has been revealed; however, if you must watermark your art, please make sure the watermark is in a discrete spot on the piece.
3. All stories and art must follow the prompt given. No if’s, and’s or but’s.
The moderator will be checking all work for quality and to make sure the submitted piece answers the prompt. Any work that does not follow these requirements will be sent back to the creator. This is not personal and not a form of picking on anyone. If you feel you will be insulted or upset if your work is sent back for any reason, please do not sign up for this exchange.
All the works are to be submitted to this email: (kkm [dot] xmas [dot] exchange [at] gmail [dot] com). All the submissions will be posted to the community anonymously starting the beginning of December and will run until the end of the month or until all submissions have been posted. The Master List of all the authors/artists will be revealed after all submissions have been posted.

Signing Up
When signing up, please keep the following in mind:
1. If you sign up here you are committing yourself to partake in this exchange.
2. The focus of this exchange is the GIVING, not the RECEIVING.
3. Your prompt must be ONE WORD OR PHRASE. Writing the details of the story/art you want is not acceptable.
4. You must be VERY specific about what you will not write/draw.
Requests are only limited by length. Topics are completely open and may include, but are not limited to, any of the following things: obscure characters or pairings, yaoi, yuri, het, incest (sibling or parent/child), shota, bestiality, kinks, fluff, angst, humor, mpreg, threesomes, orgies, AU, etc. Keep this mind when you are filling out that portion of your sign up.
Once prompts are out, a new prompt cannot be given to you.
5. If you have any questions about your prompt or need some clarification, contact the mod. The mod will contact the original requester to get clarification. Do not wait until the deadline to say you cannot do the prompt or do not understand it.
To ensure that all participants have read through the rules, please reply with the word “shibuya” at the end of your sign up comment.
6. I encourage everyone to read/view all of the submissions we receive and review them. If you sign up, you must at least review the piece written/drawn for you.

Your request (include character(s)/pairing and a one word or phrase prompt): Conrad and Yuuri go to earth and have a drinking game and end up on the table having sex. Yuuri tops, and then Murata walks in. Whether or not Murata joins is up to the writer/artist.
Why this is not acceptable: 1. It would be hard to give this to an artist; it’s too detailed. 2. You just wrote the whole story for the writer! It doesn’t leave any room for author/artist interpretation.
If you wish to submit more then one work, I more than encourage you! The more the merrier!
* It is preferable that if you write, draw or request material which is rated R/NC-17 you be at least 18 years of age. However, I shall leave this to your discretion, so if you do create a smutty piece and you are not yet 18, don't tell me.
