When you said fairy for some reason I got reminded of Puck from "A midsummer night's dream"

I don't think it looks unfinished but maybe having only their head doesn't give us any idea of the context? Of what is actually happening?

Yeah, you're so right! When I was drawing it I only thought about Wolf as a fairy and not really about their expressionsXD but I'm glad you like it anyway!^^
