*hugs you* Thank you SO MUCH for pinch hitting! It's amazing of you. <3 As soon as I get settled and stow my fat stack of loot I'll be leaving you a proper comment. ^_^
I think my biggest problem with this episode wasn't when Conrad refused to go save his little brother, but later, when Yuuri asks Gwendal, "Will CONRAD be okay?" No mention or care about Wolfram, who was the one in immediate danger, not Conrad, who Yuuri sent after him. That just boggles my mind how he only seems to care now about Conrad, and not both of them. Just. What the hell, Yuuri.
I had a problem with that, too, I just didn't say anything about it for the sake of being somewhat objective. I can understand that he probably feels guilty for putting Conrad in a dangerous situation by ordering him to go after Wolfram, but... come on, Yuuri... just a little concern for other people involved would be nice. Conrad isn't the only person in the world, you know...
It seems as if he overlooks Wolfram a lot. >< Although maybe I'm biased because of my obvious and unconditional love for Wolfram. I just wish Yuuri would open his eyes sometimes. I mean, I realize Conrad's great (because I love him a lot, too), but there are others who are just as amazing.
Thanks! I liked this episode, too, and I probably would have had a lot more to say about it if this week hadn’t been so hectic and stressful. My mind feels a bit jumbled and fried at the moment… ^^;
I really liked all the little scenes with Gunter and Celi, even if they were really random. They seem to have an interested friendship that I wish would be looked into more. I wonder just how long they’ve known one another.
And Gwendal and Yuuri being able to go off together was so much love. I adore Gwendal, and I enjoy seeing him warm up to Yuuri and grow attached to him along with everyone else. And I really don’t think they would have been given an opportunity to bond if something like this hadn’t happened.
Well personally, I think that if they had went after Wolfram, who they know can take care of himself, Wolfram would be severely pissed off at them for not taking care of Yuuri. That’s very true. In my slight annoyance and disappointment at them, I failed to think of that. But you’re right. I can’t imagine Wolfram would

Bwahahaha!!! I think it's absolutely hilarious how Yuuri's afraid of dolphins!! And I love it so much! Why, Yuuri?? Why do you not like dolphins?? Was that ever explained in like... the novels or something...? Meh

I wonder if maybe he had a traumatic experience with one before. ^^; His fear of dolphins always seemed pretty irrational to me, just because I don't see what there is to be afraid of. Dolphins are cute!! XD
Miko is just awesome all around. I thought I wasn't going to like her so much, but I warmed up to her very quickly, and I really have no idea why, although it probably has to do with how completely random she is.
To be honest, I didn't really like Yuuri all that much when I started watching this. I mean, I liked him well enough, but I didn't love him the way I love some of the other characters (Wolfram, Gwendal, Celi, Gisela, etc.). To be honest, I didn't really start loving him as much as I do now until you and I started RPing last summer. Now I think he's absolutely adorable, all cute and awkward, and yet still pretty much an average guy

Actually... That's the only reason I love Yuuri, too... *cough* But that's not the point...
I swear that something happened to Yuuri when he was little - like... getting splashed by a dolphin - and Shori told him that dolphins were just mean and not to worry about them because big brother would protect him~ XD
Oh my gosh... The brothers just need a whole... arc together... just for bonding and character development... Sigh...
Re: SPOILERS!! I think...mikagechanMarch 24 2008, 01:33:01 UTC
That's really sad, considering he's done some pretty bad things, especially recently. *cough* Ahem! ... yeah...
... but would he really be so afraid of them just by getting splashed by one?? I mean, really... I got scratched by a lot of cats when I was younger, but I'm not afraid of them... Of course, I was never bitten by a dog, but I am afraid of them (the big ones, at least), so maybe I don't have any room to talk when it comes to irrational fears...
Sometimes I want to rewrite the whole series, just to add things like more brotherly bonding in. *coughs* And at least some kissing between Yuuri and Wolfram by episode 20, but that isn't the point...
Yay Bandou~!! >w< *ahem* Well, let me just say that I absolutely LOVE this whole desert story arc. We get some sweet bonding moments between Gwendal and Yuuri (friendship forged by keychain = WIN). And of course, these episodes also end up giving us a lot of insight into the relationships between Mazoku and humans, plus all the hardships they have to go through in order to be together. But I'm getting a wee bit ahead of myself. ;o) This particular episode is most noteworthy to me for introducing everyone's soon-to-be-favorite sandbear... <3
I love to desert arc, too! XD It gives us a better look at Gwendal's character (plus, it sort of introduces Hube, whom I have a bit of a fondness for).
And the sandbear!! I can't look at pandas anymore without thinking of him!! Actually, I can't look at a lot of things anymore without thinking of this series... or do a lot of things... or read a lot of things... because KKM is usually pretty prominant in my mind... It's almost sad that the obsession has gotten to this point, but I don't regret it. :D
