Depending on your preference; Wolfram/Yuuri, Shinou/Yuuri, or Shinou/Wolfram/Yuuri are still smashing faces.

Oho~! Good point there.

And yes, ditto on What is most important for Wolfram? He wasn't concerned whether he and Yuuri would marry, he was concerned about Yuuri's future.

One of my most favorite scenes from this episode is when Wolfram's on the balcony with this mom, as in really pensive and all because something (which your thoughts had shed some light on) is a very important issue for him to think about.

Then there's that other scene where Yuuri and Wolfram wake up on the bed and they're all serious, you'd all the fanservice was really going somewhere. Ah Shinou, the ways you mess with us~

Great commentary! X'D

One of the reasons why I love this episode is that they throw a red herring at the beginning and the audience is led to believe that Wolfram's pensiveness is due to shallow selfish eros and the jealousy of possessive love, and then in the end it's revealed that it was much deeper - Wolfram's feelings and thoughts were about selfless concern, worry about the future of the king as a king and not the future of the king as his lover. And Shinou knew about that and understood Wolfram's feelings, it kinda makes me ponder about the whole Shinou-Wolfram relationship. And then that leads me to ponder how Shinou planned all this crap out, with Celi's three sons, using their greatest assets to compensate for Yuuri's weaknesses.

Wow- that time machine... really DOES look like the Dry Wind. Wait, I mean it the other way round.

While you've made great points about the subtleties in this ep, I still can't get over the time skip between Wofram dropping his paintbrush and Wolfram telling Yuuri he wants to sleep in his own room.

Actually typing that out has made me think that perhaps shinou walked him off to a discrete corner of the castle to discuss plans for the night.

Seconding the above though, great commentary!

Takabayashi-sensei is a pop-culture nerd. I'm just waiting for the Daleks to show up.

I still can't get over the time skip between Wofram dropping his paintbrush and Wolfram telling Yuuri he wants to sleep in his own room.

There was a time skip? I've always thought it was the following night. Though I do wonder how 'possessed' Wolfram gets when Shinou possesses him. There were times in season 2 that he was lucid and there were times when he was clearly 'not there'. But then there were times when he seemed out of it but somewhat remembers stuff like when he was asked why he taught Shouri how to use his powers.

ah, it was the following night, but I wonder over what happen between wolfram getting posesed in the evening and them going to bed at night >_>

waaaaaaaait, i thought wolf didn't have his own room, that's why in ep 18 they were looking for a place for him (or am i not remembering right?) then they stumbled on the cocoons and whatnot... PLOT HOLES THEY HURT WHEN I FALL IN THEM

The room is a lie!!!

I think this same hole exists in the novel because Yuuri has been shown to knock on the door of Wolfram's room and Wolfram getting excited about it. Though I think Wolfram just lied about not having his own room or he conveniently gave it away at the time. I mean it is illogical for him not to have had a room, where was he sleeping?

a lie it just might as well be, unless he was sharing a room with his brothers, i mean conrart waaas away for a long time. i also wouldn't be surprised of celi was in the maou room and she stole wolf's room once yuuri showed up and gave her the boot :p (not that he kicked her out, but you know what i mean ;p)

It would be very much like Celi. I doubt he was sharing room with his brothers. I was under the impression that Wolfram normally lived in Bielefeld up to the time that Yuuri came and he only came to Blood Pledge to check out the new king and judge him unfit. And it was the engagement (and twu wuv) that kept him at Blood Pledge.

Itty bitty Shinou - one of the government-provided benefits in Shin Makoku. All citizens are eligible once they turn 4000 years old.

Good times indeed.

LMAO, I love Greta's :| face at the end. Just what is she thinking? xD

Loved reading the summary, and I love this OVA. I like how they showed Wolfram to be more than just that selfish brat the anime always portrays him as. =3

Ah yes, Greta's face at the end-- it's one of those really quick things that KKM would flash that shows there are more things going on than all the silliness. Like that one scene where Murata was staring at Wolfram and Yuuri noticed, he looked at Murata and looked at Wolfram. It was so quick. But I love those touches.

I love this OVA too. Definitely one of my favorite episodes.
