Oooh! I really, really like this. First off, it's such an unusual choice of characters, so I was immediately intrigued, but then it flowed so, so well! From grumpy Gwendal and Adelbert being all aloof but still caring enough to make that last throwaway comment...wonderful!

I'm still pretty new at fic writing, so I was a bit worried that the tone I had in my head might not carry over to the page properly. Based on your comment I can see that this scene made the transition to paper just fine.

No worries. I thought about adding a note at the end that this was my first fic for KKM, but then decided to see if the fic could manage on its own.

I'm glad that sequence played out well. Gwendal takes his responsibilities almost too personally, I think. Though having Stoffel as a predecessor might do that to anyone.

Ohh, very interesting. I liked seeing these to characters interacting since we don't really see it in the series.

Seeing the reactions of most of the main cast, but not Gwendal, to Adelbert being there made me very curious... so I came up with my own version.
