The Point System
This system has been retired.
For each submission, one point is initially given to the creator. Additional points are given at the mods' descretion based on certain criteria. Here's the breakdown:
Fics
One drabble (100 words exactly) or simple execution, edited/betaed: 1 point
One ficlet (101-899 words, edited/betaed): 2 points
One fic (one-shot, 900 words or more) edited/betaed: 3 points
One 2,500+ word fic or a Multi-part story, edited/betaed: 4 points
Unedited/Unbetaed fic: 1 point after first offense
Note: Edited/Betaed means that the work has minimal errors. Errors happen, of course; what we are referring to are constant mistakes in a fic that hinder the reading of the story. Unpolished work will result in a warning the first time and be given the appropriate amount of points. Any time following only one point will be given to the author regardless of the length of the fic.
Art
Lined art/Sktech or simple execution, characters only: 1 point
Colored art, characters only: 2 points
Lined/sketched art, background included: 3 points
Colored art, background included: 4 points
Mod Points
As moderators of the community, poisonangel7 and crystaltear may also give out additional points in certain instances. Some examples include periodic mod's choice awards for the submissions, or a user being very active in commenting. These are, of course, just examples of times Mod Points may be offered and not a guarantee that extra points will be given.
Point/Prize system:
Twenty-five Points: Banner
Fifty Points: Icon of choice
One Hundred Points: $5 LJ gift certificate
Two Hundred Points: $15 Amazon.com or Itunes gift certificate
Donations:
poisonangel7 and crystaltear will be distributing the prizes. However, we always welcome those that may wish to donate their time making banners, icons, or even offering a gift certificate in order to help the community keep the point system going!
