Awwwww, GWENDAL. This is why I want to wrap you up in blanket and hug you to death. ♥
That last line! Gwendal not wanting to badmouth Wolfram's uncle (even though the man clearly deserves it) and his love for both his brothers that comes through so clearly...
Lovely little look at the three of them. Thanks so much for sharing this! =)
Thank you! *beams* Gwendal will keep his family together by sheer force of will if he has to. The only reason Gwendal managed not to say anyting about Stoffel is because he doen't want to give little Wolf mixed messages (don't attack your brother/excuse me while I beat some sense into our uncle) ^_~

Ah, yes. I can see Gwendal doing this, especially given how...ditzy, I guess, is the only word - Celi can be. Responsible older sons ftw! *fangirls him*
Ooh! When Wolfram mentioned his uncle, I just assumed it was Waltarona! Stoffel...now that puts a different spin on things. Somehow, I've never seen Stoffel as a real threat, when compared to Waltarona, really.*shrugs*
For whatever reason, Waltarona didn't make much of an impression on me when I was watching the series, so he doesn't really show up in my imaginings about Wolfram's childhood.
Somehow, I've never seen Stoffel as a real threat You're probably right. I think Stoffel turned out more malicious and controlling in my head than he is in the anime because I think he'd be more interesting if he was intentionally causing problems rather than having his (mostly) well-intentioned plans go wrong.
This might as well be canon with how accurate the characterization is.^^ For some reason, I can just see Gwen playing the middle man when they were younger. He definitely was the one who kept his family together at that time.

I'm glad the backstory I'm coming up with works well for you.
