Title: At the Foot of the Lighthouse Author/Artist: lenainverse Characters/Pairings: Murata/Yuuri Word Count: ~400 Rating: PG-ish Warnings: Haunt made me do it. Theme/Prompt being used: Murata
Y'know, it's kind of oddly disturbing reading this peace with Chopin's March Funebre playing in the background and yet it's oddly fitting.
I have a feeling Murata would be mourning the loss of the status quo and fearful of what lies ahead by acting on his own desires.
Very nicely done.
Ps. Favorite line --> His place was everywhere, and Murata’s place was in his shadow. The dark was only so shrouded because it followed the brilliance of day.
Though I ship Yuuram, that was both moving and delightfully more than possible in all contexts. I like your Murata, brooding and aware of it, and the hints of Yuuri, dear old 'naive but not entirely innocent' teenager that he is. It made me smile and consider 'other' possibilities...and was a most excellent read - good job! :)
That was awesome, hon! You really nailed the darkness in Murata's heart, and how he weighs the consequences of his actions against his own desires. Great job! Very compelling! ^^
