Most people said it. Even more of them thought it. She knew it wasn’t true though.
Perfection.
She was supposedly perfect.
She had a reputation for being one of the best healers there was--she had power, knew all the tricks, knew her limits. She had a reputation for being kinder than most--she always had a compliment to give, always treated her students the best possible way, always had a free shoulder to lean on. She had a reputation for being able to achieve all of that and more so--even blind.
If she was so perfect though, why couldn’t she heal everyone? Why couldn’t she save everyone the way someone else would be able to? Why did she have to die?
Jealously.
She was indeed jealous.
It became a constant in her mind, always reminding her to try harder. She became even more fixated with healing--maybe, just maybe, she could be just as good as her soul’s new body would be. She worked even harder and longer then before. She took on more students. She tried new healing techniques.
And she put her heart into it, until her heart gave out
