Minor characters + GretachalpJuly 1 2008, 05:51:23 UTC
Thanks for the great discussion!
I have not much to add except that this episode shows a lot of character development for minor characters since they focus on Greta, Dacascos and Sangria.
I always see Dacascos with the horses. Example, in the "Gunter vagabond" episode, he asked Yuuri to pat the horses so they can sleep. Then in the "Anissina, the bride" episode, he asked Ao if he likes him XDD
I don't know why but Greta and Yuuram's relationship reminds me of a flashback scene in X (the part where Kamui shelters the puppy from the rain). I think what Fuuma said really suit Greta and Yuuram here, about them being happy even though only for a short time. Greta is so mature in this episode.

^^ I don't think it was a short comment!! Thank you for commenting.
I think we have seen a lot about Dacascos, which makes me happy, though I'd love to see more of his not-comical side. And it seems he likes a lot taking care of the horses ^^, especially Ao.
I have to reread X. Yes, I think it's also a way to say that you should enjoy the happiness that the present gives you and that you keep good memories :).
Bearbees + dark plotkgsandbearJuly 1 2008, 11:07:08 UTC
I got the impression that not much is known about bearbees. Yuuri and the other guys went to investigate, because it was so unusual for someone to breed bearbees (and maybe it hasn't been decided whether it should be illegal).
Yes, I also thought it was going to be sugary filler but it was nice and dark. They were also hinting at the overall season plot, I think. I wonder when we will see more about the secret behind the mud dolls.

For some reason I thought they'd know more about bearbees, but maybe I was wrong. :P And I think the one who could know more about it was Günter, since he was the first one to say that it was a difficult task to breed bearbees, which makes me think that he knows something about the process?
=( The sad thing is that I don't think we will see more about that, unless it is somehow related to Jeneus.

I'm glad you commented ^^.
I adored Yuuram too!! He was an adorable bearbee. It'd have been nice to see him more and let him be a permanent member of the royal family.
I liked that about the royal family as well. ^^ As I mentioned, I think it's one of the few times we have seen the three of them interact that much and see how much their bond has grown with the time. =) I especially remember a lot (even if in a future episode), after Layla's wedding, how it even seems that Yuuri don't mind anymore that Wolf and Greta are in his bed, as if he see it naturally now.
And yes, I noticed the doing of things together as well ^^. I think that, like you said, due to the events of previous episodes, their bond has grown and they really feel more at ease with each other.
Conrad's face was adorable =).
Greta has grown a lot and she really is a very strong girl. I was kind of proud but sad at the same time for her in this episode.
:) Don't worry about being late. Your comment has many interesting points.
It never crossed my mind that bearbees could have been some kind of delicacy, but now that you mention it, it could be.
That's true. :P Though maybe I was just surprised that no one in town had any reaction at all. =) But I think you're right. I think him and the rest are maybe too known by now (XD I mean, Conrad and Wolfram are they previous Maou's sons). :) Maybe people in town see it as something natural by now? XD
=) The royal family fanservice was adorable. And I see what you mean. I think the bond between Greta and Wolfram has grown a lot. We saw how sad she was in episode 81 when they thought Wolfram would not come back. :) It'd be nice to see the three of them together having some kind of activity as well.
XDD The Gremlins part was a bit weird. I was kind of sad to see my beloved bearbees transform into those horrible creatures x_x. And yes, Greta is really a strong girl.
:) Thank you!!! And don't worry, your comment was perfect! <3

Murata looked disturbed at the end of the episode, and said it was hard to make mud puppets. I predict it is somehow related to Jeneus.
