Mm hm. If it evokes "Catwoman" rather than "Why is Black Widow in the Batman movie?", then it shouldn't need a long, drawn out defense. The costumers just happened to use an older version of one of many valid costumes and dropped the ears. Except for the thigh boots which are from the 90's comic version. So you wind up with a generic bodysuit and domino mask. Kind of like neglecting to add ears to Batman's cowl and points to his cape.
The funny part is that I don't really care because I'm expecting the women in the movie to be Nolan's usual cardboard cutouts regardless of outer trappings. It's just interesting to read the comments and note how many recognize the homage vs how many see "some woman in a body suit with something eating her face".
