Road Trip: Day 14: Home Again

It took two weeks, the long way around, but 4000+ miles later, we're back. We drove 15 hours from Mississippi, straight back, through the rain the entire way. We were reminded that people who barely know how to drive forget how to drive at all when water falls from the sky and lands on the ground, when it took 1.5 hours to travel 40 miles due to

I have no idea, but I imagine we'll see you sooner or later, with our love for travel.

Fortunately, it was more Keith's mom's dog (and his by extension), though I won't claim I was unaffected.

Fifteen hours of straight driving... ugh. I don't envy you that. Though it sounds like the trip was fun!

We've done it before, but the original plan was to camp in the Smokies about halfway along. Unfortunately, it was raining, and I didn't feel like hunting around for a decent rate hotel on the weekend. I hate rain.

We were all kind of waiting for Lucy to go. Mostly we were relieved to be there, instead of discovering a cold corpse in the morning. Even dogs deserve a send-off.
