This article is re: the Grey's kerfluffle. Guess who had something to say about cast members not getting along? I have two guesses as to who they're referring to here.
He and Cowen once had to deal with an actor whose public remarks had infuriated fellow cast members, who snubbed him. The man chose not to return for another season and "frankly, we would have decided that as well," Cowen said, declining to identify the actor.
My guesses: Dr. David (Chris Potter) or Chief Stockwell (David Gianopoulos)
I have no clue about Stockwell, but considering Cowlip's comment it seemed that the person they let go was a pretty big name character on the show, so...
I'm almost sure that it's Dr. David considering how quickly that storyline wrapped up... Michael came back to Pittsburgh and said, "It's over." It seemed too sudden; Michael moved himself across the entire country and I would've thought he would work harder to make the relationship work. Besides, it's not cheap moving cross-country... I should know since I once moved from Michigan to Florida. NOT CHEAP. Where did Michael get the money to move back? Brian? David?
I bet they couldn't believe someone was actually asking for their opinion ;)
But why couldn't they simply say that Washington should have been fired on the spot? He made direct and public homophobic remarks about a co-star - who also ended up being outed as a result - and has yet to apologize for it!

That would have been waaaaay too easy to say! Also, Cowlip have never been the type to turn down an opportunity to drudge up old vendettas...
The Grey's thing really irked me, too. I now call Dr. Burke "Dr. Jerk". =P
