When Kame mentions his long-time involvement with the Yale Sustainable Food Project, Jin's face brightens in recognition. dear god what kind of research did you DO for this fic to know about this?! that farm has the best heirloom tomatoes and asparagus i've tasted in my life....

on that note, i have to say that you always do such a superb job of drawing the reader into the world that you've created.

i was daunted by the 70k words, but so far (at least), it hasn't dragged, none of the scenes have felt unnecessary, i'm in awe of the pacing.

i continue reading, now!

You've reminded me that I forgot to mention the Yale Sustainable Food Project in my story notes for this fic...It's true, I did a ridiculous amount of research for this story, but it's all stuff I would have read anyway because I'm a huge food geek. ;)

Re: the Yale Sustainable Food Project, they're a shining beacon in the sustainable food movement (which I support) and there are some awesome NYC chefs who have worked with the Project (and organize restaurant staff field trips to Yale's gardens - something that never made it into this story, but might in a possible timestamp).

This is seriously such a wonderful thing to hear - I agonized so much over all this, especially when the length got out of hand, so I'm SO glad it worked for you. ♥ Thanks for your comment! :)
