After the longest nail-biting wait of my life, I was finally able to unveil my Aaron Doral and Gaius Baltar story over on BSG ficexchange. Time to post it here for safe-keeping!

Roughly 3,000 words. Doral pov. Takes place on-board Colonial One during the New Caprica arc.

Thanks again to sabaceanbabe for the stellar beta. :)

I saw this on the Wireless this morning and was pretty intrigued, because I'd been wondering a lot lately what this conversation would look like, what would happen when Doral confronted Gaius on New Caprica about the Ragnar Anchorage incident. I'm really pleased that someone else was mulling this issue over as well, and I really liked what you did with it. The tension between them is great, or rather, the tension on Doral's end is great, and the lack of such from Gaius is just right. Doral is an interesting character and not that many people write that much with him, and I was really pleased by your consideration of him (as well as by your spot on Gaius.)

Oh! And I also like your website quite a lot. I've been there a few times before and have it bookmarked.

Thanks for such lovely feedback! I've had such a horrible morning getting to work with the trains failing and having to catch buses, so to find such nice feedback in my emails is just wonderful.

Yes, Doral is a very neglected character, which is a shame, because there's more to him than just mindless violence. And Gaius, well it's always fun to write his snarky brand of humour. Glad you enjoyed it!

Also rather chuffed that you visit my site! It's (very slowly) starting to become a comprehensive James Callis resource, which is what I was aiming for. Still got lots of work to do though.... :D

The Balstar Blog pointed me here, and I'm glad it did -- there is a sad lack of fics that protray Baltar as anything other than a one-note villain! Thank you for giving him the depth and humanity he's supposed to have! Love your authorial voice, too!

Thank you so much! I'm very glad you enjoyed it.

I've always been surprised by the paucity of good Gaius fic out in the BSG fic-lands. Had to go and write my own to address the imbalance!

:D
