let's take a moment to remember that 9/11 was tragic, and it is one of many devastating occurences in the history of the world - many of which go unnoticed
(no eljay cut because it needs to be read so don't bother asking)

Is he related to Simon Ortiz? He's a famed indigenous poet as well.

This was amazing, by the way.

thank you thank you thank you
egh, I hate 9/11
I just EHJYFHKGU
I think it is the most ridiculous thing in the entire world that we are supposed to mourn to such an extent over 3000 dead when you consider everything else going on in the world and that has gone on in the last 100, 50, 10 years.
I had begun to list things but decided Emmanuel Ortiz had listed enough.
9/11 was shocking and sad but it is over and shouldn't take the top of the list of tragedies that need to be remembered. It just doesn't deserve it.

How can any kind of "tragedy" not be worthy of being remembered and reflected upon to show what it has done to the world? That is just ignorant. Clearly you were not one of the family members talking to your wife on the phone will they suffocated. Obviously you were not one of those who felt they had no other way out than to jump to their death from the 105th floor. Earthquake monitors went off all around the world as the plane struck the second tower (I believe it was the second), but who cares. Clearly remembering this, on the ANNIVERSARY..meaning day it occurred, is ridiculous. Everyone should just suck it up! Wow, utterly shocking, I have to say. I suppose from a very low standpoint I can somewhat grasp where you’re coming from, however, this was one of the most tragic events to take place in the united stated of America. . And there are plenty of events through history that are still repeatedly remembered presently, whether or not you are aware of this doesn’t deny it. I don’t mean to be offensive, but I don’t really care if I am ( ... )

I think you are misreading what I'm saying.
There are a lot of things that go on in the world that people ignore and aren't even aware of. If this had of happened in a country in the middle east I seriously doubt it would even make it beyond the BBC news let alone be remembered yearly world wide, have been made into (major) motion films, and the whole lot.
It took a shitload for people in North America to even recognize horrible RECENT events that happen/have happened world wide.
It took a feature film for the goings-on in Rwanda to even be simi-recognized by half of todays youth. And where is the day for the "stove-burnings" of young wives that still happen in India and else where today?
I suppose I should have worded the last lime differently. I just don't, personally, understand why all of Canada, England, and The World should have to stop for a day just because it happen in the US where as had it happened else where you wouldn't even have had an idea of the phone calls and horrible deaths, there wouldn't have been the ( ... )
