Why I am against GAY MARRIAGE!
I do not believe in gay marriage, there now I have said it. I know this will come as a shock to many of you. I do not believe in the idea or the principal of it.
I believe that every American has rights and responsibilities that for this country to succeed must be used and adhered to.
We have failed to do so.
1 We all have the right to freedom of religion or FROM religion. This should include from religious oppression of any sort. The pilgrims founded this country to escape religious oppression. I have no desire to oppress anyone with my creed; in turn I will not accept oppression from anyone else.
2 Taxation. Woofer and I live as most couples do, we pay bills, work, have homes and pay the tax required of us by the governments/city’s that we live in. It is my belief that we have taxation without representation because we are NOT treated like every other couple out there. This is unfair and must stop.
3 The right to pursue happiness, to live in peace, to love as you can and make your own family without government interference.
I wish to be left alone to do as I please and not answer to some other person for my actions or beliefs. I demand that he government keep its hands out of my home and off my body.
I do believe in civil rights for all. I believe that the minority must be protected for the majority. That the huge difference of beliefs, backgrounds and outlooks of the people have the potential to make this country a great place to live.
I believe that we need these civil rights and must do all we can to insure them not only for our selves but for future generations.
The day will come when woofer will get down on one knee and ask me to wed him. My hart will fill with pride and joy. I will wed him utterly convinced we will be a better for it. I do not need a church, a minister or religion to do this. My civil rights should be all I need. I want our families to witness the most important event in my life.
I ask you all to help us all from California to Florida we must act now. Get involved.
