Differences

I have always believed that differences were what made us, as the human race, great. If we were all the same then there would be no joy, no surprises, no nothing. Everything would be the same, predictable, and boring.

I'm not crazy, I know in a relationship you have to have things in common for it to work. You can't get two people together who ( Read more... )

A family that sways together, stays together eh. If you luv someone (I mean truly) it doesn't matter what their views are, they're accepted. My DP is catholic, but we manage nicely.

I personally don't understand that argument against vegetarianism. Everything begins with a small change...if more and more people become vegetarian and vegan, then more and more animals are saved because demand goes down, and fewer animals are slaughtered...it's logic.

By the way hon, are you going vegan? I know you're already vegetarian, but you mentioned them interchangeably here, so I wasn't sure...stop me if you already know this. ;D I'm Vegan...Vegan means I don't eat any animal products, including meat but also including dairy and eggs. Vegetarian just means eating no meat. Veg*n is a term that combines the two words and is an umbrella over both.

As an aside, one of my incredibly dear friends is Vegan and her husband is a compassionate meat eater...he understands and supports her in her decisions. That's the important part, the support and love and compassion to each other, no matter what. If you both have that, that's all you need.

Oh he supports me in my decisions and loves me. I know that. I'm not saying this particular issue is going to cause major friction but..we've only been together 2 years and never met in person (much to both our sadness here). Ha, actually kinda like you and Jenn we met right here on LJ! :) Can't remember if I mentioned that before or not.

He supports me in all I do and I support him. Nor do we try to shove our views down each others throats. Which helps a bit, that would make us fight as we're both good debaters :)

Yes, I am going Veg*n. I understand what "Veg*n" is used for and right now I'm using it here because it's so much easier than writing vegetarian/vegan. I already don't drink any straight milk, I prefer the Very Vanilla Silk Soymilk. And I tried cheese for the first time the other day after not having it for awhile...can we say YUCK??? lol.

Eggs I don't eat anymore either but finding things that don't have eggs in them is proving difficult and I'm currently trying to find a butter supplement. So I'm working on it but it's a bit slow going right now. However I'm doing what I can and getting better everyday :)

Also I do believe that everything begins with small changes, totally. But I can see his POV too. I don't necessarily agree with it but I can see it. Also, he has tried a vegetarian diet before but I think he said something about his body requiring meat. Medical thing I think *shrugs*
