Matt and I took Henry for a walk the other night. It was really fun! Henry was a relatively good boy, except he kept stopping to roll in the dirt and once he tried to climb a tree!! I had to pull him off the side of the tree & he wasn't too happy. We ran into some dogs (also on leashes) and Henry turned into a poof! He got to chase a few bugs and

That is so cool! My sister has been trying to get one of her cats to walk on a leash, but it really isn't working. What's your trick?

Um, the trick is finding a really laid-back cat! I tried to train Jasper when he was a kitten, and he tolerated it until he was about 8 or 9 months old. Henry is really mellow & friendly & he took to the leash right away. Supposedly it's best if you can train cats when they are kittens....I also have heard that you should keep the leash & harness next to the food bowl, so they get used to it & associate it with dinner time. I took Jasper out on his leash so much when he was a kitten, and now it's a trial just to get him in the cat carrier!
