Rescue Kittens & their Momma

I am a proud cat mom of four furbabies - they are all indoor cats, well fed and taken care of but I simply cannot take in any more cats due to lack of money and more importantly - lack of room! lol

In December we noticed a little grey cat outside in a flower bucket, eating the bird seed we had put out. We began feeding what we had assumed was a male cat (we could never get close enough to tell). From December of last year until October of this year, we had all along assumed, because there were no kittens, that this little grey tabby was a male.

About a week ago - SURPRISE! - we saw three little kittens around what we now know is the female we have been feeding all along.

I have managed to capture all three kittens - they are 8-9 weeks old and have them quarantined in a cage in our porch. We've slowly managed to get the mother to the point where we can pet her while she is eating, but she is still far too skittish for us to actually catch her.

My goal is to have all three kittens (who are all females) - and eventually the mother cat - spayed and given their first shots. I'm hoping to find homes for all of them. *crosses fingers* But that would be much easier to do if they were already spayed and had at least their first shot and booster.

Unfortunately there are no TNR programs in my area, nor any programs to decrease the costs of spaying or shots. The costs of spaying are between $150-$200 per cat, and the shots (1 shot + a booster) are $150 per cat as well.

I have started a gofundme page to try and raise the money to have all four cats spayed, and all of them given their first shot and booster. Even if I can raise enough to help defray the costs, that would be amazing. If you can donate, I would be forever grateful, and if you can't, if you would consider spreading the word, I would be equally grateful.

To keep things legal, here are the three little furballs - if I had the room and money, I would so become a crazy cat lady and keep all three of them!

ETA X2:

A couple of bits of good news. We have found a home for all three kittens! A couple that we know, who are just as much cat lovers as we are, are willing to take all three kittens if we can help defray the costs. I am SO happy that the kittens will be able to stay together!

We are just shy of half way to my goal (though a tiny bit of bad news - the cost of spaying is more expensive than I realized, and there's actually an extra charge to get the Momma cat done because she has already had kittens - which I think it just ridiculous! *sigh* So each kitten will cost about $400 each and the Momma cat will cost about $425). Thank you again to everyone that has donated so far! <3

And finally - Momma cat actually went into the carrier! I put food in again, something she had been ignoring, but this time she actually went inside! She wouldn't let me get close enough to close the door (not that I would on her first time inside), but we're getting there! Baby steps! She's even letting us (sometimes) pet her without requiring food first!
