Take the KittyMel No Plastic Challenge!

So I've had this idea for a while, and I've decided I'm going to act on it and I'm going to try my darnedest to get you join in with me.

For one week, I am going to try my best NOT to bring ANY plastic into the house. (And no, dumping it out in the trash at the curb or leaving it in the car doesn't count.)

Does this mean you're going to dump the Farmers Market berries into paper bags to bring home ;-)

You could reuse the grocery bags from stores. They're kinda big for that, but would make it easier to keep the yuck away from you.

well, some plastic limitations is better than none.

Andrew mentioned this as an issue too - we use plastic bags for cleaning the litter box. My comment was well, we have a bag full, let's try it for a week and see how we do - we could always cut out bringing home plastic until we really need it.

you can use the cat food bags, cereal boxes, the bags those annoying circulars come in in the mail, coffee cans...

I have reusable shopping bags and try to use them. That doesn't help at all with the plastic packaging on everything and the fact that so much of what I purchase is made partly or in whole of plastic. :(

I know you can get organic milk, rice milk, soy milk and almond milk in a paper carton, but I'm not sure about good ol' 2%
