I actually stole it from a medical transcription, so I can't really take credit for anything but applying it to Martel. My sister's been working on her master's thesis and we've many strange and interesting books lying around here at the moment.
Okay. See the bed? The dolls were standing on a table that was placed about 5 ft from the closest edge of the bed. The table stands about 20" high. Then I got down on my knees and took pictures straight at the dolls or slightly below their level, making sure they look large and natural. I wasn't sure it was entirely successful. I also shot the pictures at F3.5-F4 so that I have a shorter depth of field - the background blurs and I think that also helps a little with the perspective problem. But Thanks for noticing - That's really what this was about - an experiment in perspective.
That's not an over long answer. I sincerely wanted to know. You did an amazing job too. I've seriously got to get back in the picture taking game and this is an awesome example of something to strive towards.
Thank you! Really!! I've been wanting to see if I can use my house as a background for awhile, so I've been thinking about how exactly I need to arrange them so that I can make vignettes in - my bedroom or kitchen, and actually have it look like they're talking to each other in a real house. I've used my bed before, but I wanted to see if I could succeed on a larger scale.

And how in the %&*^ do you get such perspective in your pics that makes it look as if they are in scale with the whole room? That's so awesome.

And sorry for the over-long answer.
