Mini-Peter's head has emerged from the mold completely unharmed! It's back on his shoulders (and believe me, no-one's happier about that than he is!), and everyone is doing just fine. Now to pour a cast and see how the mold turned out. Yippeeeeee

I made five casts, and they all turned out pretty well, apart from the huge blob of booger that had to be scraped off each one. I'm having a problem with air bubbles in the resin, too, but I can fill those in with clay and cook it solid. I've already made a very snappy looking goatee on one of the new heads, and I'm working on different hair styles for them now. No Sledgehair yet, but I'll be sculpting a do to match the goatee and some slightly longer than normal for the Monkey Man face. One of the new heads will be an exact replica of the normal head, so that leaves two more to play around with. Also, the mold can probably withstand a few more casts, so 5 is not necessarily the limit. This is fun!!
