the reiki class was wonderful. i can't remember if i mentioned that i'd actually had very little exposure to reiki previously, but i've been interested for a while, i'd just never gotten around to pursuing it, and it seemed like a natural companion to the other stuff i'm doing, so it seemed like a good idea. and it was. i really loved it.

I'm not familiar with Theta, though it sounds like a form of energy work too. Could you talk about it a little?

i've talked about theta before here: http://kittylefish.livejournal.com/79576.html#cutid1
theta is less physical - there is no laying on of hands type of thing - it takes place in a more purely energetic realm than reiki, which takes place on this physical plane - but i think what i would call the active agent is the same energy. the thing in theta that feels most similar to the reiki is sending unconditional love to the being.
and here is a link to a post i wrote about an interview with a fellow that helped me to understand/explain better how and why theta works, even though he's actually not talking about theta in this interview, but the principles apply: http://kittylefish.livejournal.com/87692.html#cutid1
if after reading these posts, you have any questions, i'd be happy to answer them.
and i love your icon.

Re: the icon, thanks. I can't take any credit though, as laiksmarei made it for me. :)

Ordering business cards is a great way to show the Universe that you are serious about pursuing this, which will undoubtedly lead to more opportunities for you. Which reminds me, speaking of coincidences... I recently bought a copy of Elle magazine -- which I generally don't do -- on a whim. While reading the advice column, it was mentioned how to start your own business -- free software for building a website and taking paypal, etc. I clipped it, because I thought it might be helpful in setting up your business. I can e-mail you the clipping later, if you like. I also want to update you on how Paul is doing -- much better, but I'll e you later.

and yes, the business cards are definitely me making the gesture of readiness to proceed. :D
that article sounds interesting - i'd definitely like to see it; thanks for thinking of me. and i've been thinking about paul lately - he's shown up a couple of times when i've been doing my theta recently - so i look forward to an update.
*more hugs*
