reiki and writing and pimping, oh my!

Mar 02, 2011 00:48

the reiki class was wonderful.  i can't remember if i mentioned that i'd actually had very little exposure to reiki previously, but i've been interested for a while, i'd just never gotten around to pursuing it, and it seemed like a natural companion to the other stuff i'm doing, so it seemed like a good idea.  and it was.  i really loved it.

more about reiki under here ... )

Go you!The reiki sounds like a wonderful experience, and to top that off with business cards and ficage. I soooo need to get some jewellery made so that I can try to finish off Kel's birthday fic with a clear conscience, or arynwy will stomp on me for leaving poor Severus all suffering...

o.o. no stomping on you! *wishes you flying fingers, both with the jewellery-making and the ficage* :D

Yay, Reiki!

I'm not familiar with Theta, though it sounds like a form of energy work too. Could you talk about it a little?

i love reiki so much! :D

i've talked about theta before here: http://kittylefish.livejournal.com/79576.html#cutid1

theta is less physical - there is no laying on of hands type of thing - it takes place in a more purely energetic realm than reiki, which takes place on this physical plane - but i think what i would call the active agent is the same energy. the thing in theta that feels most similar to the reiki is sending unconditional love to the being.

and here is a link to a post i wrote about an interview with a fellow that helped me to understand/explain better how and why theta works, even though he's actually not talking about theta in this interview, but the principles apply: http://kittylefish.livejournal.com/87692.html#cutid1

if after reading these posts, you have any questions, i'd be happy to answer them.

and i love your icon.

They do sound very similar in terms of how distance work is done, just with a different means of establishing the connection. Thanks for the explanation, and sorry for missing that post previously.

Re: the icon, thanks. I can't take any credit though, as laiksmarei made it for me. :)

Oh, I'm so happy for you! Kitty, I just KNOW this is what you are meant to be doing! You do this so well, and the lessons you must learn all seem to be falling into place. You are right; there are no coincidences. I think your internet kept going out just so that you could try that little experiment. The Universe provides us with the lessons we need.

Ordering business cards is a great way to show the Universe that you are serious about pursuing this, which will undoubtedly lead to more opportunities for you. Which reminds me, speaking of coincidences... I recently bought a copy of Elle magazine -- which I generally don't do -- on a whim. While reading the advice column, it was mentioned how to start your own business -- free software for building a website and taking paypal, etc. I clipped it, because I thought it might be helpful in setting up your business. I can e-mail you the clipping later, if you like. I also want to update you on how Paul is doing -- much better, but I'll e you later.

*hugs you* hearing your positive affirmations regarding my work is so empowering for me. i agree, there are no coincidences. :)

and yes, the business cards are definitely me making the gesture of readiness to proceed. :D

that article sounds interesting - i'd definitely like to see it; thanks for thinking of me. and i've been thinking about paul lately - he's shown up a couple of times when i've been doing my theta recently - so i look forward to an update.

*more hugs*

I'm so happy for you. It sounds like reiki is just the right thing for you in addition to theta.
