yeah, when it's on its own, it's easier to taste. the ex-husband used to make mango milkshakes and mango lassi and those were nice. i don't mind it, like when i get a fruit salad from sr. mango's, i let them put in whatever they do, and i eat it, because i figure it's good for me, but the mango and papaya are not my favorites. mango is good when it's really ripe and ready. i'd probably like it more if i knew how to pick it, lol. guess i should ask sr. mango ...
my best friend from junior high/high school had an avocado tree in her backyard. she used to sell them to the neighbors, but she let me have them for free. man, i love avocado. in fact, the first time i had a blta (blt with avocado) was at her house. yum! i've never had a mango fresh from the tree - i'm sure it tastes a lot like heaven. :)
hooray for a magic bullet! i really want to get a crazy, serious blender. like a blendtech or the holy grail, a vitamix, lol.
i'm glad you've been enjoying the recipes. these aren't mine, they are from this smoothie challenge i'm doing, so i can't by rights put them into a book, but maybe later if i start coming up with my own delicious combinations. ;)
