oh yeah, happy valentine's day, too, if you celebrate it.  me, i used to feel kind of left out and sad if i didn't have a romantic relationship, until i decided instead of thinking of it as a day for lovers, i'd just think of it as a day to celebrate love.  and a couple of years ago i ran into this really cute white blouse with hearts and flowers ( Read more... )

love today, hpchallengefest

I'm still shell-shocked from when I used to work in the restaurant industry on days like Valentine's Day and Mother's Day. It's like knowing exactly what goes into sausage; one would be much less inclined to eat it.

Anyway, hope you had a happy one!

yeah, seeing the machinations behind the curtain destroys some of the magic, doesn't it?

i came home and had a relaxing evening, which made me very happy indeed. :D

It's a lovely day when people are a little bit sweeter to each other. If only every day were St. Valentine's Day... then the economy wouldn't be in the crapper! ;)

Mr. C and I view it as blatant commercialism, and we don't participate; even Lil' C chose to bypass giving his classmates cards this year. But in the end, the boys surprised me with flowers and candy.

Hmmm... hpchallengefest? Kind of the reminds me of the 'outside the comfort zone' pairings one could create at ptterpr0nprmpts. With a May 1st sign-up, I can spend over eight weeks waffling about just that: signing up. I might consider it, especially since I really need to kick start my muse and it wouldn't call for a weekly commitment like a LDWS challenge would.

*smooches and hugs to you*

it's nice that the boys surprised you - it's nice to feel a little special every now and again.

yeah, hpchallengefest does remind me of the kind of stretching we had to do at ptterpronprmpts. makes sense that my writing buddy from those days would be the one to be interested. it could be good for your muse - i think you only have to write over 1000 words, so that should be a breeze. ;D

*hugs and squishes you*

I should probably read some of the previous fest offerings to be certain that my delicate sensibilities wouldn't be offended. More specifically, I have to know if my muse could rise to the challenge of this fest. Really, how kinky is it?

i typed my response, then realized i wasn't logged in, and lost my comment. :(

not sure how kinky it will be - probably depends on how far people are willing to go. the fest was just taken over by secretlypadfoot and a friend of hers. secretlypadfoot is one of the tiny circle of people who i met because she's a fan of my snupins, and i want to support her in her new undertaking.
