School will be starting soon, on Sept. 9th. I am determined NOT to use my vehicle to commute, and take light rail/bus. My old lady car needs a rest, and I'm sick of adding to the pollution

First time I was in nursing school, I was in ROTC. They had what seemed to be a good program for me at the time. Between Junior and Senior year you had a six week internship of sorts at a military hospital, something like that.
I don't believe she'd be eligible for ROTC, but there's some other program that offers payments to students intending to enter the military during their last two years of school. I can't remember what it's called right now. I don't believe it requires any special classes or other action while in school, just a commitment to a certain term of service afterwards.
I wonder if this will remain true over the next few years. I know a lot of new graduates are turning to the military as a last resort type thing, given the current job market for new grads.

I am intrigued at the possibility of getting a masters in pathology and being able to do autopsies? Forensic medicine has long been an interest of mine, hence my interest in forensic nursing. It seems we have yet more to talk about when we do finally get the chance to sit down and meet.

I don't loathe the military, though. I do loathe how it's being utilized at the moment, but not the military itself.
