I'd prefer knowing what his "Quiet/S(TF)U!" word to silence the room at Bag End's table was. I didn't pay attention to Azanulzibar, but assume/d that such a thing would be the traditional dwarf battle cry more so. "Baruk Khazad! Khazad ai-menu!" or whatever it was with Gimli and all, too. Which wasn't quite "The Dwarves are coming" so unsuitable for bedtime use, but if it wasn't that and you find out what the Dwarvish in the movie is, by all means share.

If we friggin' get more Orkish or the Black Tongue or whatever it was than Dwarvish in the movies, no fair. Az nash gimbatul or whatever the spelling won't do for me, although it is still funny to recognize Sindarin words from Elrond in any case.

That's what I thought too, at first, except I'm pretty sure it isn't. I'll have to go back and listen but the sounds are way wrong. If I ever get to submit interview questions to him that's right up there at the top of my list. I know the traditional battle cry involves something about 'the axes of the dwarves are upon you.'

Black Speech, yes. Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul. (Ah, my childhood of geeking.)

I think I'd rather have him or any of them teach me the swearwords they were apparently taught. As for geekness, the first two lines are familiar, although my memory offered "durbadruk" more so in sounds for the last word. Spelling entirely optional again. I don't exactly see orcs going to school to learn that either though.

I also still wonder how all the goblins were so ready to recognize a sword or two that'd been missing for more than a several hundred years. Visual aids to recognize your enemy swords as the main lessons in goblin school?
