Update. Feel free to scroll past my whining.

I've been feeling tired lately, and I can't figure out if it's work stress, foot stress (because while it wasn't major surgery, it's a pain in the ass nonetheless), or something more. I get home each night and all I can really think about is how badly I want to crawl into bed and stay there, and every time I think of going in to work, I'm now ( Read more... )

I am so sorry. Jesus.

I would say to keep up the ointment and salts as long as you feel you need to, and then another couple days after. You're in a shitty place right now, and that definitely retards healing time. Mine healed fast, but it was still more than a week before I felt good about not medicating them.

My right foot's practically healed - it still hurts like a bitch to stub it or pinch it in a snug shoe, but that one only needed a small amount of cutting, because I'd already taken care of most of it in the most delightfully medieval fashion with my pocket knife. The left foot... Stem to stern, took out a quarter inch-wide piece of nail. It's still an oozy mess a week later. x.x

On the up side, it's hilarious (to me) to paint all my little toes and only half of each big toe in the gaudiest leprechaun green I have. (That ointment stuff can dissolve nail polish. It's freaky.)

Oh man. Hopefully the worst is over. Crying is good, it releases stress thingies (for real, it's science). Between stress and healing and ballet, no wonder you're tired. You could get your thyroid checked, but all the stuff you have going on could be the cause.

(At least where I work now, no one thumps a Bible in my direction or tells me I'm 'stained by sin' because of my brown hair and brown eyes. You think I'm kidding, don't you?) <-- Wow, some people are just freaking crazy.

I'm hoping it's a combo of everything plus the ungodly heat wave (because I'm always exhausted when it's warm) and that it will go away soon. I hope. x.x

Y'know, they may all individually be small things, but enough small things and you start to feel buried. I'f heard it called 'being pecked to death by ducks' and 'being buried by molehills'.

Don't be too hard on yourself, you're not failing at coping, you've got a lot of shit going on.

That's about how it feels - too many little things. Even today, I found some bargains at the mall but it was still an expensive trip, so I'm fretting about money even as I'm gloating about getting so much for so little. :P Vicious cycle.

(At least I can wear closed-toed shoes without much discomfort, so yay for that. Still can't handle socks, but... baby steps. Pun intended.)

Thanks. :)
