Small changes

Dropped to 163, jumped to 166; this is after doing a lot more muscle work at the gym, so I think it's not necessarily fat/size gain as much as muscle building up a bit and then probably water retention, etc.

I'm swapping out my Carnation instant breakfast for something like Fiber One whenever I have enough time in the morning to eat breakfast ( ( Read more... )

Water with lemon? lime? chocolate powder? That's what they always suggest anyway. I could also suggest small packets of crystal light, but those contain calories.
Good luck! And thankie for teh birthday.

I have the Crystal Light, but it's pretty grim, flavor-wise. It still tastes like *powder* even after mixing it up and diluting it and whatnot. :P

To deal with the 'I hate water' thing (and my perpetually dry mouth, gee thanks medication!), I brew my own iced tea.

I take my teapot, which holds roughly 3 cups of water, and put 2 teabags in it. Fill teapot, steep until a bit on the dark side, dump over about 4 cups of ice, voila, iced tea. (I usually steep 3 minutes, but I do like a mild tea) I put about a teaspoon of raspberry honey into the carafe.

I usually use a raspberry white tea because it produces such a lovely, light, refreshing drink, but I'm also quite fond of earl grey. I may end up experimenting with new stuff soon because I'm down to just 2 teabags left of the raspberry white.

I do that with some of the green tea at work here, but it's not really 'water' at that point because I like my green tea so strong. I should try the lightly brewed black teas, though. Just enough for flavor, anyway.

I reccommend the decaf Earl Grey that Stash does. It's a good tea, the citrus makes it more refreshing and lighter, and the decaf means that you're still getting the 'value' of the water.
